Kim thought he would share some of what he sees while commuting to work each day through the Old Man River Valley in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. The pictures were taken about a quarter to seven this morning, so there is an abundance of shadows.

My Raleigh Citation ten-speed with its Raleigh pannier. You can see the Old Man River below the pedestrian bridge.

The pedestrian bridge and the bench near where I parked my bike. In the background is the six-lane Whoop-up Drive, which sees 40,578 vehicles travelling between West and South Lethbridge. I live in South Lethbridge and work in West Lethbridge.

Whoop-up Drive up close. At 06:45, traffic is pretty sparse, so I only captured a single truck. You can see the University of Lethbridge at the top of the river valley.

The river valley and half of the Old Man River. Heritage Heights is at the top of the river valley.

The river valley and the Old Man River. Heritage Heights is at the top of the river valley and the High Level Bridge is off to the right, the highest and longest steel railway bridge in the world.

A red shale pedestrian and cyclist path leading through the river valley. The path I take is plain old black asphalt.

The same shale path from a distance. You can make out a couple of Heritage Heights in the top right corner.
