The River Turner

  1. They lift the eagle through the air
  2. They gave the bees their drone
  3. They guide the dolphin through the sea
  4. They built the lion’s throne
  5. They painted monarchs black and gold
  6. They quench the rose’s thirst
  7. They lit the sun and kindled stars
  8. They make the geysers squirt
  9. They stir the colours of the sky
  10. When dawn and dusk emerge
  11. They blanket Earth with snowy white
  12. When fall and spring converge
  13. They pause for faith, they guide for fear
  14. They juggle joy and pain
  15. They strike for wrong, they lift for right
  16. They hid when he was slain

By Kim Siever

I live in Lethbridge with my spouse and 5 of our 6 children. I’m a writer, focusing on social issues and the occasional poem. My politics are radically left. I recently finished writing a book debunking several capitalism myths. My newest book writing project is on the labour history of Lethbridge.

I’m also dichotomally Mormon. And I’m a functional vegetarian: I have a blog post about that somewhere around here. My pronouns are he/him.
