{"id":1047,"date":"2012-07-10T11:42:18","date_gmt":"2012-07-10T18:42:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hotpepper.ca\/?p=1047"},"modified":"2012-07-10T11:42:18","modified_gmt":"2012-07-10T18:42:18","slug":"my-first-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/siever.ca\/kim\/2012\/07\/10\/my-first-review\/","title":{"rendered":"My first review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am playing Thesus in\u00a0<em>A Midsummer Night\u2019s\u00a0<\/em><em>Dream<\/em>\u00a0as part of Lethbridge\u2019s Shakespeare in the Park.<\/p>\n<p>I haven\u2019t acted in 8 years, so it\u2019s been\u00a0kind\u00a0of nice to get back into it.\u00a0This\u00a0is the largest production I have ever been in. Prior to this, I have been in only one-act products with only 3 or 4 actors. It has been interesting working with so many actors, and having over an hour between scenes.<\/p>\n<p>Local theatre critic, Brian Tyson, attended opening night last week, and <a href=\"http:\/\/stagecentre.blog.com\/2012\/07\/10\/bard-in-the-gardens\/\">wrote a review<\/a>. Here\u2019s what he had to say about me:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Kim Siever, who played him, may have looked more like a prosperous stockbroker than an Athenian Duke, but he managed to assemble enough dignity to contrast his maturity in love to that of the younger actors, and to embody what is harmonious in the play.
