{"id":2929,"date":"2011-10-09T20:49:11","date_gmt":"2011-10-09T20:49:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/siever.ca\/kim\/?p=2929"},"modified":"2017-08-01T20:49:48","modified_gmt":"2017-08-01T20:49:48","slug":"a-mountain-journey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/siever.ca\/kim\/2011\/10\/09\/a-mountain-journey\/","title":{"rendered":"A Mountain Journey"},"content":{"rendered":"<ol class=\"poem\">\n<li>A metal box encased by forest<\/li>\n<li>Held treasure deep inside.<\/li>\n<li>Dark as night and cold as steel<\/li>\n<li class=\"stanza-end\">Yet something did abide.<\/li>\n<li>Something big, something warm,<\/li>\n<li>And round just like the moon.<\/li>\n<li>Something quiet, something known,<\/li>\n<li class=\"stanza-end\">And like an angel\u2019s tune.<\/li>\n<li>And then it\u2019s opened amid the cries<\/li>\n<li>And darkness flees away.<\/li>\n<li>The humble treasure so deep and soft<\/li>\n<li class=\"stanza-end\">Touched a heart that day<\/li>\n<li>It wasn\u2019t long \u2019til that pure gift<\/li>\n<li>Grew and begat two more.<\/li>\n<li>It wasn\u2019t long \u2019til its pure owner<\/li>\n<li class=\"stanza-end\">Rushed on out the door.<\/li>\n<li>The night before was spent so slow<\/li>\n<li>Trying hard to relax<\/li>\n<li>And now, just dawn, it was time to meet<\/li>\n<li class=\"stanza-end\">With out a ne\u2019er glance back.<\/li>\n<li>And there they knelt upon the mount<\/li>\n<li>With forever in their eyes<\/li>\n<li>Shining bright with radiant light<\/li>\n<li class=\"stanza-end\">Not seeing th\u2019others die.<\/li>\n<li>Others gone, where they now stood,<\/li>\n<li>Two lives not seen again.<\/li>\n<li>Two lives which now replaced by one<\/li>\n<li>Were on the road again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A metal box encased by forest Held treasure deep inside.
