{"id":2951,"date":"2016-11-02T21:27:47","date_gmt":"2016-11-02T21:27:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/siever.ca\/kim\/?p=2951"},"modified":"2017-08-01T21:07:35","modified_gmt":"2017-08-01T21:07:35","slug":"after-the-storm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/siever.ca\/kim\/2016\/11\/02\/after-the-storm\/","title":{"rendered":"After the Storm"},"content":{"rendered":"<ol class=\"poem\">\n<li>Ruby red, no, scarlet red, the blood stains on their hands.<\/li>\n<li>Innocence delayed ten years, now teach them how to dance<\/li>\n<li>Orange\u00a0like the glowing coals of fire\u00a0dying out;<\/li>\n<li>Bellows, worn and tired now,\u00a0have fin&#8217;lly shut their spout.<\/li>\n<li>Yellow sun has dimmed its light, its service drawn to close<\/li>\n<li>Tried so hard to shine so bright, but succumbed to the blows<\/li>\n<li>Trees so green have withered dry, poor shelter from the rain;<\/li>\n<li>Stinging drops come pelting down, unleashing bruise and pain.<\/li>\n<li>Bluest skies are just a trick, a clever sleight of hand.<\/li>\n<li>We think it&#8217;s true, but when in space, it&#8217;s then we understand.<\/li>\n<li>Purple robes and aprons tell us, &#8220;All of it is love.<\/li>\n<li>Come to us from down the street, descended like a dove.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Rainbows come after the storms, or so I&#8217;ve heard them say,<\/li>\n<li>But first, I guess, we have to wait for storms to go away.After the Storm<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ruby red, no, scarlet red, the blood stains on their hands.
