{"id":3068,"date":"2011-10-09T23:05:44","date_gmt":"2011-10-09T23:05:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/siever.ca\/kim\/?p=3068"},"modified":"2017-08-01T22:24:19","modified_gmt":"2017-08-01T22:24:19","slug":"st-valentines-trap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/siever.ca\/kim\/2011\/10\/09\/st-valentines-trap\/","title":{"rendered":"St. Valentine\u2019s Trap?"},"content":{"rendered":"<ol class=\"poem\">\n<li>Today\u2019s the day when husbands fret<\/li>\n<li>And wonder what their wives to get<\/li>\n<li>To show their love with costly things<\/li>\n<li class=\"stanza-end\">Hearts of red and golden strings.<\/li>\n<li>Florists rake in quite the cash<\/li>\n<li>Bakers make the chocolate dash<\/li>\n<li>Stuffers stuff some record bears<\/li>\n<li class=\"stanza-end\">Jewellers cut more diamonds rare.<\/li>\n<li>Men run wild all over town<\/li>\n<li>Here and there and up and down<\/li>\n<li>They know they can\u2019t this day to shirk<\/li>\n<li class=\"stanza-end\">They grab their gifts right after work.<\/li>\n<li>What thought is there in all of this?<\/li>\n<li>Do chocolates, bears replace the kiss?<\/li>\n<li>Do diamonds, jewels replace the poem?<\/li>\n<li>Do flowers, smells make the home?<\/li>\n<li>Is love restrained to just one day?<\/li>\n<li>Cannot the love be here to stay?<\/li>\n<li>Is this what all the women want?<\/li>\n<li class=\"stanza-end\">Do they need this yearly jaunt?<\/li>\n<li>To love one\u2019s spouse is quite divine<\/li>\n<li>And love today is surely fine.<\/li>\n<li>But love\u2019s not in the gold nor day<\/li>\n<li class=\"stanza-end\">It\u2019s found in all we do and say.<\/li>\n<li>Let us all of men unite.<\/li>\n<li>Resolve to treat our spouses right.<\/li>\n<li>Let us love the whole year round,<\/li>\n<li>And show just where are hearts are found.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today\u2019s the day when husbands fret And wonder what their wives to get To show their love with costly things Hearts of red and golden strings.
