{"id":3083,"date":"2011-10-09T23:06:49","date_gmt":"2011-10-09T23:06:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/siever.ca\/kim\/?p=3083"},"modified":"2017-08-01T22:33:25","modified_gmt":"2017-08-01T22:33:25","slug":"the-storm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/siever.ca\/kim\/2011\/10\/09\/the-storm\/","title":{"rendered":"The Storm"},"content":{"rendered":"<ol class=\"poem\">\n<li>The unmounted creature danced on the skies,<\/li>\n<li>And the sparks from its heels are all left behind.<\/li>\n<li>Prancing through clouds all over the world,<\/li>\n<li>And as it did leave them behind itself furled.<\/li>\n<li>Hopping \u2019neath stars and above all the earth<\/li>\n<li>Living life eternal \u2014 no dying, no birth.<\/li>\n<li>Playing all alone \u2014 secluded \u2014 not knowing to wait,<\/li>\n<li>That at any spot moment, it\u2019d meet its fate\u2019s face.<\/li>\n<li>Girded and able, just hairs from its nose,<\/li>\n<li>Was its master or servant, only battle shall show.<\/li>\n<li>Sharp snorts and deep growls within each mighty chest<\/li>\n<li>Gave warning t\u2019th\u2019other that he is the best.<\/li>\n<li>And with that sweet music, the battle arose.<\/li>\n<li>Blood against blood, foe upon foe.<\/li>\n<li>The clash of strong horns and shatter of bones<\/li>\n<li>Rang through the air, through houses and homes.<\/li>\n<li>The froth which escaped from each snarled lip<\/li>\n<li>Fell to the earth like a crack from a whip.<\/li>\n<li>Charging and striking with each battle scar,<\/li>\n<li>Each beast is collided, each does its harm.<\/li>\n<li>Tired and weary, yet still at full force.<\/li>\n<li>Striking and smashing \u2014 an inevitable course.<\/li>\n<li>And with one mighty lunge, the battle does end,<\/li>\n<li>Each victor \u2019side failure, to ne\u2019er fight again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The unmounted creature danced on the skies, And the sparks from its heels are all left behind.
