{"id":3822,"date":"2019-09-26T04:58:10","date_gmt":"2019-09-26T10:58:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/siever.ca\/kim\/?p=3822"},"modified":"2019-09-26T05:17:35","modified_gmt":"2019-09-26T11:17:35","slug":"mexicans-have-a-right-to-be-in-the-united-states","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/siever.ca\/kim\/2019\/09\/26\/mexicans-have-a-right-to-be-in-the-united-states\/","title":{"rendered":"Mexicans have a right to be in the United States"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Does anyone else find it rich that Americans want to stop Mexicans from crossing their border?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s odd because until 150 years ago, people who were indigenous to what is now northern Mexico and the Southwestern United States could travel as they pleased. The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and the Gadsen Purchase changed all that, slicing in half with an invisible boundary the traditionally territory of Indigenous peoples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Same goes for the Blackfoot people. Until the 49th parallel was established, the Blackfoot people could come and go as they pleased between what is now Southern Alberta and Montana.
