{"id":599,"date":"2009-06-12T21:16:10","date_gmt":"2009-06-13T04:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.hotpepper.ca\/?p=599"},"modified":"2009-06-12T21:16:10","modified_gmt":"2009-06-13T04:16:10","slug":"fawn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/siever.ca\/kim\/2009\/06\/12\/fawn\/","title":{"rendered":"Fawn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Shortly after arriving at work this morning, I looked out the window and saw a brand new fawn, maybe a day or two old.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/kmsiever\/3621019954\/\" title=\"Baby by Kim Siever, on Flickr\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3350\/3621019954_d75b659d1e_m.jpg?resize=240%2C160\" width=\"240\" height=\"160\" alt=\"Baby\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was lying in the grass, where I assume its mother had left it. A buck was coaxing it along by licking and pawing at it. It would get up, move a few steps, then lie back down.<\/p>\n<p>The buck kept coaxing it.<\/p>\n<p>There were some plumbers near by working outside.
